Mills High School and five other high schools in San Mateo county belong to San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD). Millbrae’s elementary schools and Taylor Middle School belong to Millbrae Elementary School District (MESD). MESD does not register your student for high school so you are responsible for registration.
2025 Roadmap to High School
Incoming 9th graders will take these steps before their first day of high school on August 2025:
Find the high school assigned to your home address. Enrolling at a high school outside of your home address?
Attend your future high school’s information night in October 2024 and learn about high school life:
Aragon: October 29 at 6:30 PM
Burlingame: October 16 at 6:30 PM
Hillsdale: October 17 at 6:30 PM
Mills: October 30 at 6:30 PM
San Mateo: October 9 or 17 at 6:30 PM & October 30 at 6:30 PM
Enroll during the priority enrollment period between November 4, 2024 and February 7, 2025:

Enrollment requires proof of residency and other documents (English, Español, 中文). Taylor 8th graders do not need to provide their transcripts.
