Preparing for 6th Grade

Taylor PTA welcomes parents and incoming 6th graders for the 2024–2025 school year.

Additional Information

Individual teachers hand out list for classroom supplies during the first week of school. However, if you want to get started prior to that time, pens, paper, pencils, etc. are always needed at school. Students will have some time to get supplies for classes.

Taylor breakfast and lunches are no cost to all students and no application needed.

Primary pick-up and drop-off zone is the parking lot on Taylor Blvd. near the intersection of Minorca Wy., Camino Alto, and Taylor Blvd. Backup pick-up and drop-off zones are:


The Community/Recreation Center is not a pick-up nor drop-off zone.

Roadmap for Next Year

Incoming 6th graders took these steps to reach their first day of school on August 14, 2024:

Incoming 6th graders will get to experience three weeks of life as a middle school student and learn the campus in the safety of other incoming 6th graders.

Students are expected to attend each day of the Summer Bridge Program or will be dropped at the second absence.
