The Habit Burger Grill Supports Millbrae Education Foundation

Bulldog Bash

Date: October 20, 2022

We bring the free hot dogs. Celebrate your culture. Share an international dessert or condiment for the hot dogs. Activities for parents and students. All Taylor families should come. • Shea Center

Math, Puzzle, and Treat Challenge

Date: October 2022

Four weeks of October and one challenge per week. Students must also show on paper how they calculate the answers. Math department will give the winners a pizza party in H Hall during lunch period on Monday, November 14.

Contest to Get a Class Treat

Date: September 16, 2022

Three advisory classrooms, one for each grade level, with the most number of donations (not the amount) will get a treat.

Your $25 or higher donation helps get your student’s advisory classroom closer to getting the treat and funds projects to enrich student learning. Donate $250 or higher and get a free gift while supplies last.

If you have more than one Taylor student, your donation will be divided between them.

Donations between August 1 and October 7 qualify towards the contest.

Taylor PTA General Meeting

You’re invited to the Taylor library 6:30 PM–7:30 PM. Math teacher Jonathan Lee presents various math programs and math competitions. Green Hills parents Lailah Morris and Samir Thadani speak about next year’s parcel tax to help fund Millbrae schools.

Parent Meeting about Outdoor Education

Date: September 14, 2022

Join the 7 PM parent meeting on Zoom to answer questions not found in the information and registration forms. Apply for financial aid.

Your 6th grader‘s first-period teacher handed out information and registration forms last week. This is the final school year 6th graders have the option of attending Outdoor Education. YMCA Camp Jones Gulch will host them on October 10–14. 225 spots available for 250 students so registration is first come, first served.

Registration deadline is September 30th.

Parent Meeting about Sojourn Trip

Date: September 8, 2022

If you missed this meeting, there will be another meeting in the future.

Thursday, September 1, 8th graders learned about the Sojourn Project where they have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C., Gettysburg, and Mt. Vernon on March 11–17, 2023. The 8th grade trip occurs March 11–17, 2023 and costs $3,700 ($1,000 deposit). Financial aid is available. The cost pays for airfare and bus transportation, meals and lodging, admission to museums and historical sites, entertainment, a nurse, chaperones, and the educators who teach the lessons.

The parent meeting is 6:30 PM–8:30 PM in the Taylor auditorium. Many of your questions about the trip will be answered.

Back-to-School Night

Date: August 25, 2022

5:40 PM–7 PM We will gather at the outdoor amphitheater for our welcome and introduction. Class presentations will begin on an abbreviated schedule beginning at 6 PM and going until 7 PM. We are hoping that parents can learn about their child’s teachers and classes. While we do not have time for this to be a conference, it is very helpful to put a name with a face and learn about the student’s schedules.

8th Grade Promotion Event

8th Grade Virtual Ceremony

8:45am-9:15am - 8th Grade Virtual Celebration - ALL parents and students are welcome to join this virtual celebration for our 8th grade students. The Zoom link for this event will be sent out the week of June 7.

Hello 8th grade families,

Here is the Zoom link for tomorrow's 8th grade virtual celebration, starting at 8:45 AM.

Distance Learning students will check-in with their 1st period teacher for attendance at 8:30. At 8:45 AM, they will use the link above to join the virtual celebration.

In-person students, will arrive at school at normal time and their 1st period teacher will join the Zoom and display it to the class.

Students should plan to attend 3rd and 5th period classes as normally scheduled after the event.

We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th graders!

8th Grade In-Person Promotion Walk

Date: June 11, 2021

Location: Taylor - Front of the school & Auditorium

Times: Families select their arrival time slot between 8:45am - 12:15pm (

  • Each family needs to sign up for one arrival time.

  • Each student will be allowed to bring a max of 4 guests.

  • Guests will accompany their student into the auditorium where the student will perform the promotion walk across the auditorium stage as the student's name is read.

  • Families will remain physically distant in designated areas in front of the school before entering the auditorium.

  • Students will walk across the stage and have their name read. After the student's name has been read, they will proceed to a photo opportunity outside in front of Taylor and receive their goody bags.

  • After students have taken their photos, they will exit campus with their families ASAP as we will not be able to allow families to congregate on the Taylor campus.

  • All families will be required to follow health and safety protocols. Masks will be required for every individual on campus.

Join us by running (or walking) at your own pace in MEF’s first virtual FunRun! You choose the “where” and the “when”, anytime between May 17th and May 31st.

This event is open to everyone in the Millbrae community and beyond! All children and adults are encouraged to participate. Proceeds will benefit the MEF’s mission to provide a well-rounded, equitable education for all Millbrae students.

Taylor PTA Pancake Breakfast

Hi Bulldog Families,

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! As we enter into the holiday season of giving, we want to give you an update on the Taylor PTA Pancake Breakfast... we met the goal of raising $7,000 to fund grants for our Taylor teachers!! Teachers will be applying for grants to fund classroom needs such as supplies, equipment, projects, activities, etc. We are excited to be able to give and support our teachers!

Come join the Taylor community for our 2nd Annual PTA Pancake Breakfast. It will be a great morning spent with friends and community supporters. Millbrae Lions Club will generously provide delicious pancakes with One Martial Arts Millbrae providing toppings. Coffee and juice will also be served and new this year is a yogurt bar!

Similar to last year, there will be great themed raffle baskets and silent auction items such as Disneyland tickets. Proceeds from this event will support Teacher's Grants so help us achieve our $7,000 goal!

It was a great way of catching up with friends, meeting Taylor staff, and learning about the different organizations on campus and in the community. We would especially like to thank the staff for supporting this event and Mr. Zabzdyr for sacrificing himself to be drenched for a good cause!

Bulldog Bash

Saturday, Aug. 24th, 2019

Taylor Middle School is having their first Bulldog Bash on Saturday, Aug. 24th, 2019 11am-2pm! Please mark your calendars! We will have multiple informational tables for PTA, clubs, community members, etc. There will be raffles and some giveaways as well for families who attend this event. There will also be music, food trucks, dessert potluck and a chance to dunk Mr. Z!

We are seeking any unused gift cards you may have at home for a gift card basket for one of the raffles. Please let me know if you have any you would like to donate.
